Key Decisions

• Document record keys must be TIDs, not slugs
  • Reason: user reported validation failure on latest post because record key ultimate-setup-labs was not a valid TID: TID is wrong length (expected 13 chars).
  • Lexicon requirement: site.standard.document record key must be a 13-character TID.
  • Rejected alternative: continue using slug/human-readable key.
  • Chosen approach: deterministic slug-derived TIDs to preserve stable AT-URIs and idempotent republishing/upserts.
• Deterministic TIDs chosen over time-generated TIDs
  • Reason: stable keys preserve repeated-publish upserts and avoid changing AT-URIs.
  • Considered: time-generated TIDs and SHA-style hashing.
  • Chosen: deterministic FNV-1a 64-bit–based derivation because a framework-free deterministic implementation was readily available.
