Step versus turn terminology

Always call one logical LLM call a Step; its durable record covers only the model-visible span. Never use “provider turn” or bare “turn” for one call, because turn is reserved for the future assistant-turn unit spanning all Steps from prompt promotion until the Session would become idle.
